Protect the people, systems and information behind your organisation. WestTech connects firewall and network controls, endpoint security, Microsoft identity protection, staff awareness and recovery planning.
An attack can start with a convincing email, a stolen account, an unpatched application or exposed remote access. Protection needs to cover those routes and limit what an attacker can reach if one control fails.
We start with an inventory of your devices, identities, networks, cloud services and critical information. That gives your organisation a practical risk and improvement plan.
Our approach is to reduce the likelihood and impact of an incident, detect suspicious activity and prepare for recovery. No product can promise complete prevention.

LAYERS OF DEFENCE
Protect the routes attackers commonly target.
Firewalls & network security
Control network traffic and secure connectivity between sites, users and services.
Firewall deployment, configuration and rule review
Secure remote access and network segmentation
Separate guest, corporate and specialist networks
Endpoint security
Protect supported laptops, desktops and servers with maintained security controls.
Antivirus and endpoint detection and response options
Device configuration and attack-surface reduction
Investigation and containment procedures within scope
Identity & Conditional Access
Strengthen how users sign in and which devices can access business resources.
Multi-factor authentication and least privilege
Conditional Access policies where licensed
Privileged-account and joiner/leaver controls
Email & user protection
Reduce phishing and account-compromise exposure.
Microsoft Defender for Office 365 or suitable email security
Domain authentication review and suspicious-message handling
Security awareness and reporting processes
Patching & configuration
Reduce avoidable weaknesses in supported software and devices.
Prioritised operating system and application updates
Configuration baselines and exception handling
Review internet-facing and legacy-system exposure
Detection & recovery
Connect alerts to people and a response plan.
Managed detection and response options
Documented escalation and response authority
Independent backup, recovery priorities and testing
FROM THREAT TO CONTROL
Make the protection plan understandable.

Controls to consider
Why it matters
Phishing and impersonation
Email filtering, staff awareness, MFA and verification procedures
Reduces opportunities for credential theft and fraudulent requests.
Stolen credentials
Conditional Access, least privilege and identity monitoring
Makes access harder to misuse and helps identify suspicious sign-ins.
Ransomware on a device
Patching, endpoint protection, segmentation and protected backups
Adds prevention, containment and recovery layers.
Exposed remote access
Firewall policies, secure access, MFA and logging
Reduces unnecessary access paths into the environment.
Compromised cloud account
SaaS monitoring, permissions review and incident escalation
Improves visibility of suspicious account activity and data access.
MICROSOFT & KASEYA OPTIONS
Choose the controls. Define the service.
Microsoft 365 Business Premium can provide a starting point for identity, endpoint and email protection in eligible organisations. Larger or more complex estates may need enterprise plans or additional security services.
Kaseya technologies add options across endpoint management, detection, user protection and backup. We assess the existing stack to avoid gaps and unnecessary overlap.
Where required, vendor-managed detection and response can provide specialist monitoring and investigation. We agree supported systems, monitoring coverage, escalation, response authority and responsibilities.
Security operations coverage and an IT helpdesk are different services. Your proposal makes that distinction clear.
QUESTIONS BEFORE WE TALK
Clear answers for your next decision.
Will a firewall stop ransomware?
A firewall is one layer. Endpoint controls, access management, patching, staff awareness, segmentation and recoverable backups are also important.
Can you review the tools we already own?
Yes. We can assess configuration, coverage and operational ownership before recommending changes.
Do you help us prepare for an incident?
We can scope incident escalation, recovery priorities, contacts and exercises so your team understands what to do and who to involve.
Identify where protection, visibility and response need to improve. Brief us on your environment and we’ll help define the right security engagement.
